High-quality master and reference data are essential to improve services, optimize risk management, and enable a more personalized and efficient customer experience.
To support this ambition, we are looking for a Master Data Specialist for the Employee Benefits & Health Care domains, within the Data Solutions & Intelligence / Data Management teams. You will be responsible for the governance, consistency, and quality of master data, working closely with Data, Methodology, IT, and Business teams.
What you will do
Own and safeguard master data quality
- Define, implement, and monitor master data quality KPIs (completeness, consistency, accuracy, uniqueness).
- Detect, analyze, and resolve master data issues and inconsistencies across systems.
- Set up control processes, validation rules, alerts, and exception handling for master data domains.
Drive master data governance
- Develop and maintain master and reference data models, standards, and documentation.
- Ensure alignment with internal policies (Data Management, Security, GDPR) and external regulations (Solvency II, IFRS).
- Contribute to a shared data catalog including a business glossary, data definitions, and quality rules for master data.
Optimize and industrialize master data flows
- Support the integration and synchronization of master data across internal and external systems.
- Improve and standardize master data flows with a strong focus on robustness, traceability, and scalability.
- Collaborate on data modeling and implementation using tools such as Informatica, SQL, Python, Spark, and cloud-based platforms.
Collaborate across teams
- Promote best practices in master data management and data governance within Business and Methodology teams.
- Act as a key link between Data Analysts, Data Engineers, Data Scientists, IT, and Business stakeholders.
Help build a common understanding of master data and contribute to a data-driven culture.
Your profile
Education & experience
- Master's degree in a quantitative field (statistics, mathematics, computer science, economics, …).
- Experience in master data management, data governance, or data quality, preferably within a financial or insurance environment.
Technical skills
- Master data & governance tools: Informatica (MDM / Data Quality), Talend Data Stewardship, Alation, Collibra
- Analytics & visualization: Power BI, Tableau
- Databases: SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL), NoSQL (MongoDB, CosmosDB)
- ETL & processing: Azure Data Factory, DBT, Databricks, SAS
- Languages: SQL, Python, PySpark
Soft skills
- Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Autonomous, proactive, and solution-oriented in a complex environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Professional proficiency in French and/or Dutch, and English.
- Experience in master data or data quality improvement initiatives is a strong asset.
